Where are these "shovel ready" jobs the stimulus package is supposed to provide?

Only 10-12% of the money has been spent so far. "We need to pass this bill now to avoid an economic catastrophe." Unemployment rates havent been this high since Carter was in office. The majority of the spending wont occur until next year. So I ask you, where the h*ll is the shovel ready jobs that were supposed to occur after the signing of the bull-stimulus bill?

I think everyone pretty much knew the whole thing was a sham. The "pass this law immediately or die" threats were a ruse to give our government the authority to spend over the next 3-4 years.

Well first off, what is the point of us explaining it to you. You've clearly written it off already--this obviously wasn't meant to be as much of a question as it was to be a bash on Obama and his stimulus bill. So again I ask, why shall any of us explain it to you when you really dont care what we say anyway and no... More

I don't know. There aren't any jobs in this part of Florida. I am still in need of a job too. Nobody is hiring. The public sector or the private sector. It's terrible here. The job section in the paper used to be three pages here. Now it has about three jobs.

The only "catastrophe" was the fact that we allowed these thieves to get away with such a bogus bill. Everything is under the guise of extreme urgency like the current cap and trade bill that again nobody gets to read and it's chalked full of other garbage and some of it involves a civilian security force. Too people... More

And when the money gets passed out without enough scrutiny and is spent in the wrong way, you'll be the first one to holler that they spent it too fast. They stated from the beginning that we wouldn't start seeing results until the end of the year. We should know either way by then.

If they hadn't spent the money in various infrastructure funds for everything else to begin with, we wouldn't have roads crumbling, bridges coming down, levy's breaching, water sewage and fresh water pipes bursting, electric grids failing. Most of the infrastructure is already 10 years past it's lifetime expectations... More

They must be somewhere because our fearless leader told us that if we didn't pass the stimulus package, unemployment would go up to 8%.
