Can I enlist in the Air Force as a paramedic?

I'm joining the Air Force in about a month, and I'm trying to figure out what jobs I qualify for. I would really like to stick to the medical field, but since I'm a new recruit I was wondering if I can enlist as a paramedic, and if not what medical jobs can I enlist as?

You certainly can enlist as a medic. Be aware though that when you go to the recruiter they will try to jack you around. They have quotas to fill jobs in the most needed areas and will usually try every single trick they can to use you to fill one of those slots whether it's something you want to do or not. You need to let them know that you want to serve in that capacity. In the Army they're called "medic" and in the Navy "medical corpsman."

Not to discourage you, but they already have enough medical jobs filled. The chances of you getting a medical job is slim to none.

The USAF does not use enlisted as corpmen or medics like the other branches of the service. At best you cold expect being a medical service technician like an LPN.
