will my prior work history help me with Army career placement?

I have been an animal care technician for the past ten years, and have recently been entertaining starting a career in the army. will the army examine my prior work experience, and will it help me land the job i want, which is a 68t animal care specialist?

As HOOAH said, you might be able to get a rank, but it won't improve you chances of getting 68T. You'll still have to score high enough on the ASVAB to qualify for it. It's a small MOS and may not be available at the time you go to sign up. How long are you willing to wait for a spot to open?

no. u could be more qualified then half the guys in that rate who are in the military, but even if u get the ASVAB score and there are no openings in the field, then there are no openings... happened to me :( went from financial expert to airplane mechanic lol...
