How can the government resolve or mollify the economic crisis?

It's conspicuous that there is a nuance of extol and disappointment. So, what would be a tactical way to lead the United States out of the economic catastrophe since Obama's methods are being castigated and reprimanded? It's obvious that enormous spending is not a shrewd method to utilize. What other ways can we assuage the economic nuisance?
