What is the highest paying job in the IT industry?

Information Technology jobs are scarce where I live. That's what im going to school for, however. Im really interested in this field and i was wondering what was the highest paying job in the industry? Oh and if you can tell me where Bill Gates started out, and how he became the most richest man in the world. whaddya mean by Sales? do you mean like a pitch man? Or like a commercial designer? "Sales" is also a very broad term too.
