need advice about asking about a job opening with my employer.?
Okay, here it is. I am currently employed as a nursing assistant. When I applied, I was looking for something in an office environment because of my degree and the current classes I'm taking. That being said, I just took th position of a shower aide because o the schedule. Nw here is the kicker. They have two positions open, housekeeping supervisor and Activities Director. If I inquire about them, do I look like someone who doesn't know what they are looking for? Or should I bite the bullit and ask?

Housekeeping supervisor has to be very familiar with OSHA and other certain regulations concerning nursing homes and the products they use to clean with. Activities Director is a college degree position for nursing homes and the elderly. If you have either experience, then go for it.

Go ahead and ask. You'll look like someone who is interested in getting ahead. That's fair enough, not a bad thing.
