Free sample electronic components for hobbyists?

I would like to get some free sample electronics components. I have seen many websites which are offering such components. Unfortunately, I am a hobbyist and not part of a business. This limits me from submitting sample requests to every company that I have seen so far. I will not lie and make up a business to a company that is doing me a favor. Does anybody know (can link to) an electronics website that offers free samples to hobbyists/students. I appreciate your help.
