What is the best job in the mechanics section of the air force?

i just talked to a recruiter and she basically told me that the mechanic jobs are what the airforce needed right now. which job in particular is the most entertaining and which is least likely to to actually come into harms way as far as the wars?

I would go electronics way better jobs, recruiters have empty job slots they have to fill so they need mechanics, it has long shifts sometimes 6 7 days a week when equipment falls behind (PE) periodic inspections fall behind. Most aircraft maintainers do not get into harms way. Planes are kept at operational bases that are back from the front lines, such as Qatar, Saudi, Turkey, etc. While they are still not entirely safe, they are safer than being in country... More

I repaired avionics on several different aircraft at 10 bases over half the world. It was an extremely interesting job. We were always in safe parts of the bases in 'nam.

I was a flight line crew chief on C130s for four years. Any aircraft maintainer (mechanic) job is going to be a thankless job, you will work in all kinds of weather, on weekends and holidays.
