No insurance and torn rotary cuff- Would County Hospital operate on it, or am I SOL?
I think I tore my rotary cuff- The pain is absolutely horrible- I can't even lift my arm over my head, and if I accidentally lay on it at night it's excruciating. Of course I was laid off 6 months ago. I have no insurance and no means to pay any medical expenses right now. If I went to the ER at County, would they help me, or send me home? Oh yeah, I live in Pinellas County, FL (Clearwater)- Thx

I'm from Land O' Lakes. I would just go to the local ER and tell them you're in horrible pain. They'll most likely prescribe you pain medication and if it's really bad, they will do the surgery. Go to the hospital and tell them what is going on, there are programs that can help you pay and sometimes will cover all the expenses.
