Truck driver training: Is Regional driving job possible with some companies?

I am interested in getting into truck driving. I was wondering if anyone knows of any companies, in the Dallas, Fort Worth area, that you will train you and place you with a company that does regional instead of OTR trucking for the contract period? I have a family and don't want to be gone for long, long periods of time. I would like to be home weekends. Can't afford truck driving school though but OTR really isn't a big option for me. Let me know if anyone out there has any suggestions!
