Can I join the Army and enter Ranger training if I meet the physical criteria? See below?

I am 40 yo college graduate, physically fit i.e. can run a marathon. I have alway wanted to serve my country and would like to challenge myself. I would like to be a Ranger/special forces of some sort but i think i might be toooo old for that section of the military. The recruiter i am dealing with is sort of clueless. Any guidance would be great.

Sure you'll get SPC from your college but trust me in Ranger Bat there is two ranks, people with tabs and people without tabs. I was a Ranger pvt at 18 and it was good for... More
