What kind of jobs do marketing majors have, and what do they do?

I am thinking about going for a four year degree in marketing, but I have no kind of idea of what job i'll get with it. Please include what I'll be doing too. I really want to deal with people. I would like to help people, but this probably doesn't do that. But dealing with a lot of people is a must for me. I really need to know what I would be doing at a job, and what kind of jobs I will be doing.

I just graduated with my Bachelors in Marketing this past May and I am actually going back to get my Masters in Marketing next month. I really encourage you to get your 4-year degree if this is something you are interested in; it opens the door and gives you a lot of options if you have a degree because it shows employers that you are dedicated to pursuing your goals.

The nice thing about majoring in marketing is that you could work directly for a marketing or advertising agency, or you could work for practically any company in any industry and just work in their marketing department.

I start my first marketing job in 2 weeks as a marketing manager. I will be doing things such as figuring out ways to drive more traffic into our store. To do this, I will have to create different promotions, establish customer loyalty programs, advertising, etc.

The four main components of marketing are commonly known as the "4 P's of Marketing" and they pretty much sums up what marketing is all about:
-Product (what product or service are you trying to sell?)
-Promotion (how will you attract potential customers?)
-Price (what sort of pricing will your product or service have?)
-Placement (how will your product or service be delivered to the customer?)

If you really want to work with people, marketing is a great field to do just that. You can be involved in the sales aspect of marketing and you will be dealing with clients on a daily basis. Even if you are not in sales, you will be interacting with your co-workers on a regular basis so you will know a lot about your company. You might also be dealing with other business professionals while trying to set up partnerships for joint advertising and such. Whatever you do, I wish you luck!

I have a degree, so I don't want the marketing/sales jobs that require nothing more than a HS diploma that come up in Hot Jobs. I want to find a place that will list legit PR jobs that are for entry level students w/ a BA degree. Any suggestions?

I have a master's degree in international business from UK and currently in US. I am open to sales marketing jobs as I do not have any work-experience but I'd love to work in international management. How do I go about it? Also I did find 2-3 opening in international management and would like to know how the interview will look like? What kinda questions will they ask etc etc. Or as for marketing , how is the interview process if they say it is rigorous. Any site that could help ?
