Where can I get research volunteer position in NYC?

I will move to NYC soon. I am finding a research job in biomedical field, but I have not got any offer yet. I am a recent college graduate with BS in biochemistry and want to get research experience before graduate school. Since I have not yet been offered paid position, I want to volunteer in biomedical research to get experience. Can you tell me what medical schools or hospitals offer research volunteer position? If they offer volunteer, is it likely that they reject applicants for some reasons? thanks I looked at NIH post-bac program, but they accept only US citizens. I am an international student. So I am looking for a job or volunteer.
