What do i need to do to become a veterinary assistant?

im going into 11th grade this year and i would like to know what i need to do to become an assistant..i would like to be an actual vet but i probably dont get good enough grades to do that (A's, B's, and C's)..but i still want to go to college and have a job dealing with animals

you can Start of as a Kennel technician... and a lot of community colleges have vet assistant programs, so you can still go to college, even though it may not be a the type of college you wanted to go to, the programs at community college are very good. and if you do volunteer work at an animal shelter or get a job as... Make an appointment with a vet in your city. Talk to him/her about your plans. He/She will be able to answer all your questions. You may even be able to get a parttime job in an animal hospital while you are still in high school. Also, take all the science courses you can get in the next 2 years.
