Want to move to Pittsburgh?

I am: A recent college grad (high school history teacher) with no driver's license living at home in Maine. I have: $2000 saved up and no job lined up, but I want to move to Pittsburgh. I understand it's stupid to move to a completely new city without a job lined up (especially in this economy), but Pittsburgh is cheap and I'm willing to get any job I can, even if it has nothing to do with teaching (however, I'd apply for subbing jobs... anyone know how readily available they are down there?). I'm hoping to go to grad school next fall at either Pitt or Duquesne and am basically tired of spending all day trapped at home (hard to go anywhere in ME without a license and car) doing nothing productive. I want to make this move, but is it plausible? Any words of wisdom are appreciated, thanks.

I think you can do anything you set your mind to. Do you live on your own in ME? If you do then why do you think you couldnt do it in pittsburgh? Im from NJ, IDK about job avail. But best of luck to you!! It should be easier without a D/L theres a lot of public transportation in pitts.
