What navy jobs are in high demand right now?

I just finished my Master's in education but I have a huge desire to be a linguist. I would like to be a navy linguist but i was told that the navy jobs are all full and I would have to wait for a job to become available. I am not sure how true this is but I would also be willing to be an air force linguist. If this is not an option I would do another job I am just curious about what jobs are needed or avaliable. Why do you think that the af is better than the Navy David?
