Why are retail managers so up themselves?
Is there a retail manager on yahoo answers? I would love to know why they talk down to you, why they shout at you in front of customers and make fun of you and make you feel stupid. My managers do nothing but shout at me when I am trying SO hard to do well at my job! I have the statistics that show I am doing well and trying hard, but they still keep shouting at me just because I forget how to do something on the tills, for example. Any thoughts?

Its because they think they are so brilliant because they are a manager of something, but in reality they have a crappy job with rubbish pay in comparison to other managers.

you are obviously working for bullies. i would go for some interviews elsewhere when you are not at work. keep this job until you get a new one and when you find a new job tell them to stuff it.

My manager is really nice so maybe it's just yours but yeah i think it's true most of them are horrible. You could try to find another job and also stay out of their way if possible.
