Are there any hospital office jobs that don't require extensive training?
I will be a freshman in college and would like a part time job in a hospital setting. I have 2 years of volunteer service and was hired as a volunteer supervisor for 6 months and currently work in the hospital gift shop until I go off to college in a couple of days. I'm just looking for something in a hospital setting that does not require me to take any courses. My friend was telling me about unit secretary. What does that require or anything else. Like as an operator, in medical records, front desk, ect.

From experience I can tell you your chances of getting a hospital office job is small unless you know somebody or related to someone working there, I tried for 3 yrs after getting out of the military and still no love and i was living in Houston, bus load of hospitals.

Being a visitation desk manager shouldn't require any extensive training. You might need to learn some medical terms, and take some remedial courses, but that's it.
