how can i press charges against my husband who is a new york cop?
how can i press charges against my husband who is a new york city police officer for domestic violence..he punch me all in my face and head then kick me on the floor right in front of my family..what can i do because im ready to press charges,he says that he cant get into trouble for that why do he feel that because he works for the law that he can get away..what can i do? and who do i report him to?

Hello Mya. Go to the District Attorney's office, sit down and give them full details. It doesn't matter if he is on the job or not, he will be charged, arrested and you will get a restraining order keeping him away from you. Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you

Sounds like he's just trying to scare you. Go to your local police division, if you feel that the people there are friends of his and might pull something funny, report it to another division that he isn't a part of.

report him to the police. get a lawer. not even cops are outside the law. look in the phone book for lawers. if you call the police and ur husband and them get all chummy, you can probably sue the othe rpolice for not helping.

It's pretty simple, even in NYC. You call Internal Affairs, explain who you are and lodge your complaint. Internal Affairs will take it from there.
