What is a landscaping maintenance foreman's job?

My husband has a job interview tomorrow for the job of a landscaping company's maintenance foreman. He has worked in landscaping before but neither he nor myself are really too sure what the job of the foreman entails. As much (or any!) detailed info would be wonderful so we can have a crash course in it before his interview tomorrow morning!! lol

The foreman is the on site boss. He directs the crew as to what each member will do, works with the property owner to make sure that the job is satisfactory, and acts as go between for the company and crew. He is ultimately responsible for making sure the job is done properly. Hope this helps.
