I'm getting a new gaming computer, can tell me how this computer is for gaming?

I'm getting a new gaming computer but I want to make sure this computer will do the job. I'm getting a HP Pavilion Elite e9180t. Here are the specs. Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64 bit), qualifies for free Windows 7 upgrade Intel Core i7-920 processor (2.66 GHz, 1Mb L2 + 8Mb shared L3 cache with QPi technology) 9GB DDR3-1066 MHz SDRAM (5DIMMs) 750 GB 7200 rpm SATA 3GB/s hard drive 1GB NVIDIA GeFORCE GTS 250 graphics card Blu-ray player in the priary drive and 16x DVD Rom in secondary drive Wireless-N LAN card Integrated 7.1 Channel sound with front audio ports So that is the computer I want. Is it a good choice?

Very good! Quad processor! 8 Gigabyte per second RAM communication! SATA-2 drive providing 3.2 GB/s transfer! 1 GB video memory! Wireless-N is the latest wireless standard providing 802.11N speeds of up to 54 megabits per seconds (7 mb per second)!

It's a fast computer overall, but I'd reallocate more money for your graphics card if you're into gaming. Looking at what options HP gives you, you'd be better off installing one yourself later. The Radeon 4850 is as high as it gets there.
