how can i turn my retail resume into a receptionist resume?

im trying to make my resume more eye catching for office managers all though my only experience is retail. i really want a receptionist job but they only want experienced people.. what can i do??

Focus on the customer service aspect of working in retail. Have a section towards the top of your resume titled "Receptionist Qualifications" and make several bullet points of your receptionist experience or qualifications.

Many duties carry over to receptionist work. You have more experience than you know! The best way to do this is use a functional format for the resume. This can be a tough job, but with a lot of time and effort can be done yourself. Although if you are in a rush, I would enlist the help of a professional.
