is it illegal for a job to take money from their employees?

My job is charging the bus girls $5 a week for bread baskets, tiny forks, and saucers being thrown out. Meanwhile it is possible that the customers, waitresses, bartenders, and kitchen staff can be throwing these items out, is it legal for the owner to charge just the bus girls?

I have never heard of anything like that and i worked in quite a few restaurants as a teen. You should definitely call the labor board about it.

I wouldn't think so. I would check with your state's labor relations board. It may be under the Department of Labor.

You could probably win this one, but the repercusions wouldnt be worth $5. I would start looking for a better job with a decent boss.

I'm sick and tired of those work at home scams. Nothing in this life is free, and if you want it you need to work for it. I got my guidance from blackhatguide, and so far made over $5,000 within 2 months.
