what are the pros and cons of underwater welding?

i am also thinking of taking a non destructive testing technician course provided from the ocean corp in houston, texas. anyone have any experience in either course ill be happy to learn more. and has anyone been to the ocean corp?

I interviewed for a position with an offshore oil drilling company once in Houston. I spoke with one of their underwater welders. He told me it is an inherently dangerous job. Pros: Underwater welders are in demand in many industries, including shipping, oil and gas, and even military operations. Cons: There are number of risks involved in most underwater welding, so it needs to be done carefully
