are my colleagues making fun of me?
i'm a bubbly person and for my colleagues, it is intimidating. I'm 25. we went out and was in my colleague's car and I started dancing to a song. my colleague is 21 and he said "lisa, you're not 25 at all. why are you acting like that? I think you're lying about your age" everyone starting laughing at me in the car because they thought I was acting wierd. I then told them that my friend and I are looking for a studio flat in greenwich, which my friend found in greenwich for £200 a week. my colleague (sam) told the rest of the colleagues "hey listen to this, listen to this. Lisa told me that she wants to get a studio flat for £200 week. everyone started laughing at me because they thought I was crazy for buying £200 a week studio flat. I saw tom (colleague) standin outside in the rain and I told him "you're crazy standing outside in the rain". he said "don't tell me you just said that, can't you see i'm smoking. I'm not gonna tell the others you just said that." Sometimes I'm a slow learner when I'm at work, (i don't know why) and my supervisor who is 22 years can be impatient as I ask him over and over again to go over some notes. he says "lisa, you already ask me that so many times, you still don't get it." We were actually on a road trip together and my supervisor said to get ready in 15 minutes which I already had. then 15 minutes later, tom wasn't ready and I asked him "you're not ready yet?" he said "are you being serious?" and started laughing at me. we were supposed to meet up for lunch and my supervisor called me on mobile to meet him and I found out that he was actually across the road from me when he called. my colleague started laughing saying how can you not know we were across the road? you're such a ditz. we all get commission at work in sales. if people pay £10 for a product we get £20 commission but if people pay £5 for a product we et £16 commission, which I didn't know. I asked my supervisor how much we get paid if people pay £5 for a product. everyone started laughing at me. My friend had her mouth open really wide and i said "shut your mouth" as a joke. they all started laughing at me saying I was rude. I asked my friend to pull me up from the floor which I didnt manage to get up, she said stop bein a child lisa. they all say that it's not good that they're laughing at me because I dont realise that they're laughing at me. they say that the only reason they tell me because they care. every comment I make, they laugh at it like as if it's a silly comment. when I'm excited, they were appaled and said "lisa don't do it again." my other colleague said "you know what he's saying right lisa?" in an appalled way.

It sounds asthough they are being bullies. These people aren't friends else they wouldn't treat you this way. I can relate to you in some ways, as I'm a slow learned sometimes too and my boss likes to make rude remarks. However, you shouldn't have to put up with this kind of stick. If I was you I would explain to them... More

What jerks. If I were you I would be sooo angry right now. They have no right to call you childish. Making fun of you for no good reason is childish, and I'd tell them that. I'm 14 and I have friends that act way more mature than that. >.< Ditch them and make some more mature friends!!
