danger of getting your credit card number stolen?

isn't it true that you are risking yourself when you go buy something with your credit or debit card? I mean what if the person who takes your card memorizes your number on the spot? "photographic memory"

Well yes of course anytime you use it your at risk of people stealing your number. But most shopping places at least are making it where you don't even give the card to the cashier so they don't even get to see it. Plus people with photographic memory cant just glance at it and memorize the number, the expiration date... More
