Asked to come for a 'chat',What to wear?

So i recently went for a job as an Assistant Property Manager. I have been asked if i want to come in to the place for a chat. What should i wear to this chat? Should i wear interview clothes? Also i have a goatee and a pony tail im thinking of getting a hair cut before i meet them. What do you guys think?

I would recommend that you dress professionally (button up shirt, dress pants, dress shoes, etc.). If you aren't too attached to your ponytail and you are willing to give it up i think you should go for it. If it is long enough consider donating the pony tail to an organization like locks of love. Err on the side of formal and wear your interview clothes. A trimmed goatee and pony tail shouldn't really be an issue.

As a business owner and employer for over 12 years I would sometimes call an interview a "chat" but I would still expert 100% effort in what you wear, how you present, etc as it makes all the difference as to whether you are employed or not... More
