What are the best guitar strings to use when switching from standard to drop C tuning?

Most of the time I play in standard tuning but a lot of times I like to tune down a half step or to drop C. I've been using Ernie Ball Super Slinkys, but they don't seem to get the job done whenever I tune down. What's the best brand/string size that will sound good in lower tunings and still be safe for the neck in standard tuning?

Stick with Ernie Ball but get Power Slinky's instead. That gauges are (11-48) and the package is purple. They are the best strings for metal and also the best strings for those low tunings, like Drop C. The Super Slinkys gauges are (9-42) It might take u some time to get used to the thickness of the 11's but you will... More
