Unique vs. pretty? - Models?

I've been wondering...what kind of people model agencies are looking for these days? They aren't only looking for really good looking ones but also looking for unique ones right? Take...I don't know, Devon Aoki for example, she was found as her mixed race combination, she is half Japanese and half German, and also have freckles, it makes her look very unique. So what do you guys think? By the way: I am asking this question because I am simply 'interested' in everyone's opinions, no other reason.

it depends if you make the height requirements and such, they don't really care how your face looks as long as it's not horrid looking.

There are a lot of pretty/beautiful people in this world. There are a lot of tall people too. But it all boils down to the features. Sometimes the very best models are not the pretty stereotype but they have features that stand out and they have the capability to change their look. Or you cannot pin point... More
