Is this our government in action?

1: FANNIE/FREDDIE: Created in 1938 to buy mortgages from private banks. The company was weighing the budget by 1968 so they hid it and then they turned it into a government subsidy and put it on stock market. In the end they raked up $5Trillion in liabilities. BANKRUPT! 2: AMTRAK: Received 30 billion is federal money to stay afloat in 1970 for a PROFITABLE company. Got 1.3 billion in stimulus money. They lose money on every ticket sold........ 3. Postal Service. Government prevents them from reaching full potential. The unions wont let them cut Saturday or closing building because of jobs and the politicians let them stay up for reelection. This government run business is looking to lose 3-6 billion $ in 2009. Nothing they touch is making money. They raise taxes to pay for debt only to create more spending and more debt. They get bigger and need more taxes. DETAILS!!! Their intention is good. Like FDR with fannie Mae but it becomes corrupt down the line. It is them trying to help but in the end it harms us. I am not trying to be mean or point fingers but it is a fact. To be a world power you need a big stick.. Healthcare reform isn't difficult. The health insurance agencies are trying to fix the problem. We don't need the government to control it.

That's exactly why we don't want their hands on Healthcare! and you didn't even mention Medicare and the billions in fraud each year. It's always political and not about what's best for the country regardless of the party. We must do everything we can to minimize government in everything we do.

Don't forget the defense industry, we spend almost half our GDP on weapons. Cut that in half and we could lower taxes and provide health care reform!
