What what type of scope rings should I use on to mount my Nikon Pro Staff?

I have a Marlin XL7 .30-06 and it has the rail on top to mount the scope. I have know idea what type of rings or whats recommend to use. I have never mounted a scope before and i don't know the tech specs of the rings but the scope is 3-9 X 40 ... So please help... thanks!

Leupold or Weaver 1" inch are the best. You should be able to pull off a free mounting job and bore sight with the purchase at your local gun shop.

Go to a good and reputable gunsmith and have him install a set of Leupold STD mount and rings for that scope. The Leupold mounts will hold that scope nice and tight and will not need any maintenance to make sure the bolts are tight, they will stay that way.
