How to become an accountant?

Hello. I'm currently working 40 hours a week and I'm enrolled in college and working toward my business major of accounting and finance. It will take me about 3 years to complete. Is there a way to get certified faster? Also, what are entry level positions for accounting? Every job search I see for accountants or even jr accountants requires 3+ years of experience...

You can get an Associate's Degree in Accounting from a community college, which only takes 2 years.

Depends on the area of accounting but auditor is usually an entry level position.

Nope Its all worth it though. My sister is finishing up her last year. Its extremely hard. Especially business law. You might get some pathetic online class to speed things up but it won't get you anywhere. I just say go through it, its just three hard working years of your life that pay off for a full life time.
