Mechanical or Civil Engineering?

Currently I am a sophmore in college, and my decalred major is mechanical engineering. I am thinking about switching to civil, and I need some suggestions. There are certain aspects of each major that I am interested in, and some that I am not. I do not care much about salary because I know I can make good money with either. I mostly care about having a job that I enjoy. I DO NOT want a desk job where I sit around all day doing math. I also want to be able to travel quite a bit. So bsically my questions are: -what degree will provide me with more opportunities to travel and live all around the world -what are some examples of jobs from each major (ones that do not include sitting at a desk all day) -also, If I choose civil, how important is it that I get "certified" Thanks
