He ended it for a place he had no control over the south, he did not end it in the north. He did not even care whether they were freed or not. Abraham Lincoln did get credit for his work....shut up.

Your lack of history is showing. Teddy Roosevelt was the last of the "Lincoln" republicans. The current manifestation of republicans had nothing to do with it.

For the same reason they don't get credit for ending the Vietnam war, which Democrats started. It's inconvenient to Democrats, and teachers love Democrats, so they just don't talk about it.

Because Abraham Lincoln wouldn't be a Republican nowadays. Proof is the South was for it while the North was against it. The South is currently more Republican while the North is Democrat.

The definition of republican was way different back then than it is today. Think about it. They don't get any credit because they don't deserve it.
