How hard would it be to become a FBI special agent?

I know its not like on tv, and ive done my research, but how difficult is it? Will it make it more difficult to be one since i am an african born muslim? I really want to do this, it seems like the perfect job. And how competitive is it? Also, how competitive is the CIA? (i can speak, read, and write in arabic)
