How do i become a Navy Mechanic?

basically, im wondering if its the right way to go, and if there are any other types of mechanics jobs that are better for me in the military.

The Navy has many types of mechanics. The SeaBees have Construction Mechanics. http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjob1/a/cm.htm There are also Machinist Mates, Enginmen and Gas Turbine Systems Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical). http://usmilitary.about.com/od/enlistedjob1/a/eng.htm

wait in line. i just went trought the process of joining the navy and they are so full that all they offered me was corpsman and that wasnt leaving for a whole yea and they didnt know when aviation mechanic is going to be available. so i said f**k that and joined the army to become a mechanic and im leaving in a few...
