Writing a novel and wondering where would one work with a partner?

What job would you work in some cases, with a partner? I understand that doctors, police officers and lawyers could be examples but I need something broader, a different occupation. Also if anyone doesn't mind answering, how would Journalism fit in? Would you work with someone on a story? Does anyone have any ideas? Hope that's not too confusing, Thanks.
