Why do I have shooting pains in my breasts?
I have a 2 month old baby boy whom I've been breastfeeding. I have no problems with latching or feeding, but I do have these random shooting pains in my breasts all day long. The pain runs inside my b****t toward my n****e, but I have no pain associated with my n****e. The pain is short, shooting pains, sometimes so intense I actually will yelp and hold myself. It comes randomly and is not associated with "let down". Anyone experience this or know how to make it stop?

It's your breasts refilling with milk, usually about 15-20 minutes after nursing. To stop it? Well, it will get better but it won't stop until you wean him - I find it's no big deal once you know what it is.

I would get check for thrush just in case. Sometimes there aren't many symptoms.

I get that, I think it's what the first person said (refilling), although sometimes it seems totally random. Just monitor to make sure it's not mastitis (red area, hot area, flu like symptoms) but I think we just gotta live with it
