How bad is the field of law?
If I were to graduate with a law degree from a top 10 law school, is it still going to be as bad as everyone says to get a job in a large law corporation. I am aiming for a degree in corporate/commercial law. I would like to work in the city, preferably Chicago. I ask this because I heard that the field is saturated with too many lawyers.

In the United States the field is saturated with too many lawyers. However, if you get into a top ranked law school and if you graduate Order of the Coif, Editor of Law Review and in the top 10 percent of your class, you will have a good chance of securing an associate position in a big national or international law... Saturated or not, talent is talent! You will find work. The internships you get from a top notch college can lead to great networking connections. Get yourself known with many people. If you do so effectively, then you may not have to look in the newspaper much for work.
