little hindi is enough to get marketing job in mumbai?

iam somu ,working as a marketing executive in chennai area,now iam planning to go for mumbai,now i know very little hindi to speak,but i know english.let u tell whether this capacity is eligible to get marketing job in mumbai area.or else give urs comment.

It depends upon what kind of marketing job you want. In most marketing jobs in big Indian cities, if you know good English, you can do without being fluent in Hindi. But from your question, it seems you need to improve your English before you can get a respectable marketing job in Mumbai.

Little Hindi and little more Marathi will do . It also depends on whether you will be dealing with consumer goods or institutional sales. Also you need to speak with proper English pronouncements understandable at Mumbai or anywhere outside Chennai.

If you are into corporate sales you can easily get along with your marketing career in Mumbai. However your informal interactions with the client might be limited. Normally when companies interview marketing positions in Mumbai, fluency in English and presentation skills are the main criteria of observation
