What is this new health care bill going to do for the average Joe? Is it a joke? How will it help anyone?
My husband works 1 full-time job and 2 part-time jobs. One of the part-time jobs allows us to have health insurance. For the two of us, it cost almost $800 a month. This is with a public school system in Arkansas. I want to know if this new health care bill is going to help people like us. Is it going to lower our premiums enough to make a difference? Or is it a joke and a lot of hot air. How is it really going to help anyone?

If you don't have any health care and are above poverty(medicaid) it will give you a option! But if are working middle class you will have to pay for everyone else's health care! Odds are good your employer provided health care will cost you and your employer more! You had better be bleeding, or broken up pretty bad... More

I don't believe a 2000 page bill will benefit the average Joe or Jane. I just don't trust the govt running 1/3 of our economy. The bill might benefit the illegals tho.

Hell no it wont help you!!!!! Their will be HEAVY taxes that the middle class will be burdened with, you will get fine for not having some type of health care, illegals get free care of course those bastards get everything free, it can take half a year or more to see a doctor if you get really sick, oh Obama care will... The health care bill will cost $829 billion over 10 years. However, according to HHS, health insurers will be raising prices 71% in the same span of time. The bill will give us an option (think Medicare) and regulate the health care market to prevent costs from spiking.

Higher taxes to pay for the illegals, longer waiting periods for proper care, and many doctors quitting the practice. I pray that the Republicans can stop this insanity. Nov, 2010 will be a massed, forced exodus of many democrat legislators. For many reasons.

The federal government will get more power, people will be fined for not having health insurance (Obama says that this is not a tax) and the Constitution will be spat on again. It might seem to help people at first, but the bill is so long that something is bound to go very wrong.

I hope it works for sake of those who really need it. But as far as long term damage to the country , who knows.

Go obama and i'm a Republican. NO pre existing thank God. so yes it does help. half of what these people are giving you as answers is all wrong. they are brain washed. I don't know what else obama has in store for us but i do agree with a health care reform. Only democrats would bring it to the table and republicans... More
