What about this idea to end hunger and homelessness?

Perhaps I will find a homeless person, and have him or her do odd jobs around my house. And I will pay him with a room to sleep in, and gift cards for a grocery store, whichever has no alcohol to sell, but no cash. Is this a good idea? Would any homeless person accept this offer? I would also give him clothing, although not necessary the most expensive brands of clothing.

I'm not sure that's a great idea... I think that might be illegal.

That not might be a good idea. You might wake up one morning with no homeless person and no posessions. If you want to help end hunger and homelessness donate to charity.

I think if each one of us did something like that it would solve a lot of problems! I think someone broke and homeless would be more concerned about covering their butt than decorating it! It's only the spoiled kids who are used to having the best of everything that expect it!

Most people have enough on their plate trying to survive themselves , nevermind helping the homeless

Take this offer to an agency like the United Way or a large church organization that way they can screen the person for you and take care of any medical issues the person may have. Good luck and God bless you for trying to help. But for your safety go through an appropriate agency.
