Is it possible for civil engineers to make huge property?

I am a civil engineer. But I have no job. I know that civil engineers salary is no so high. So I want to engage myself into business. Am I doing right thing? If I get a job, shall I able to conduct my business? I have also a desire to live in u.s.a. What is the job opportunities for civil engineers in u.s.a.? Is it possible to do own business and civil engineering job there?

Most civil engineers become a contractor. You have to have vast experience first before you attain this. Also, you should have a capital for you to have a good business like in contracting. Get an experience first by applying to a construction company is US, then after a while, save money and start building small... More

Likely you will need a license to practice civil engineering as a consultant (your own business) in u.s.a.

If you want to live in the USA, first you need a work permit ("green card"). In order to get this, you need to already have a job in the USA, and your employer must be prepared to sponsor your green card application. This is the hard part, finding work is easier by comparison... More
