Why did 357sig never catch on?
I know of no government agency that uses 357sig WHY?

Americans would define the shoulder angle at alpha/2=18 degrees. The common rifling twist rate for this cartridge is 406 mm (1 in 16 in), 6 grooves. No enforcement agency carries them because with a 9mm bullet its almost a 90% kill shot.

Basically it was the odd man out between the 9mm, .40cal and .45 ACP. The 357 sig doesn't offer any huge advantages over the .40 cal, so really no one was too interested in it... More
