You can't get a financial analyst job without an Ivy League degree. Is this true?
Everybody I have asked for advice on becoming a financial analyst says that you can't get a financial analyst job without an Ivy League degree. Is this true? I can't get an analyst position with an economics and accounting degree from UC Santa Barbara? I don't believe that

Dont believe it. A degree in economics and accounting from UC Santa Barbara, or any program with good accreditation can get you a job as a financial analyst. However maybe not at top companies, like an Ivy League degree would.

You're right, don't believe it, because that is just plain crap!A degree from UC Santa Barbara will do just fine.
