Should I go to a college where I can do internships or a better college where there are no internships around?

My first choice is UC Santa Barbara but I'm thinking there won't be many intern opportunities which is important for my career field to get a job (accounting) or should I go to San Jose State or San Francisco state where I know there are more internships?

I wouldn't assume that there are no accounting internships in Santa Barbara. I have always hired UCSB students as interns and I am working with several right now. Many of the residents of Santa Barbara are retired, self employed or living off a trust fund, finding skilled people to hire is a challenge here and as a... More

In my opinion, I think that an internship is one of the best things a person could ever put on a resume. It shows that you have actual experience in the field you are actually applying for and that you understand the realities and responsibilities of the job. With the economy in the bad shape that it is in, you should do the internship. Just maybe, the company that you are doing the internship with will hire you on the spot.
