The job is salary.....it's what ever it takes to get the job done. Expect it to be at least 40 per week. If you get a cat (catastrophe...such has a hurricane etc) you're going to work 7 days a week 10 hours a day until it's done. But a lot of adjusters like storm trooping...I know I do. Depending on the nature of the insurance business, an adjuster either spends most of the time in an office or visiting claimant locations. An employee, is probably going to average 50 hours a week or so, unless there's a big catastrophe. A freelancer, is probably LUCKY to get 10 hours of work a week, unless there's a big catastrophe. In case of catastrophe, as many as you can, before you fall over. 80? 100? Gotta get while the gettin's good.
