What do you guys think of the petsmart/petco vets?

I have heard horrible things about insurance plans that are only usable in one store even after that store has discontinued the service and high costs comparable to regular vets. But I have only searched google and really not extensively. I'm not looking to change vets, by any means, but was wandering what you all thought of them.

Just like with anything else, it depends on the individual. All of them must have graduated from an accredited vet school, and passed board exams to have the DVM after their name. The vets themselves are very very expensive.. much more than any other vet I take my pets to. I find much better quality vets for much better prices elsewhere. I only use their service to pick up my flea meds every month.

i agree with everything that clovicat said. Lots of these corporations basically tell the vets how to practice medicine. They have preplanned protocols written up for a diagnosis, so instead of treating each animal individually they have to follow a generic "recipe". Also in general, these places are know for having...
