What is the best way to stop global warming?

Is Cap and Trade the best we can do? It is set up by Kenneth Lay, the famous ceo of enron. http://cei.org/gencon/019,02898.cfm It is pushed by AIG. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/mar/25/cap-and-trade-for-aig/ Its impact will hurt the poor the most. - p6 http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=132d40b2-ff1d-4dcc-a58d-022c80aa824d It's not working in the UE. Chart on pg 8 http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=132d40b2-ff1d-4dcc-a58d-022c80aa824d It will hurt our economy, cost 1-1.6% of GDP reduction by 2015 and 2-2.5% reduction from that time forward. Cost 1.5 - 3.4 million jobs by 2020. P6 http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Files.View&FileStore_id=80bc79be-c338-4a76-b438-205eb79da3d5 So is the best we can do is let large corporations with checkered pasts set up a system that will make them a lot of money, hurt the poor the most, cause economic damage to all, and has been shown not to hit it's goals when put in place?

Carbon is one of the 4 elements to life on this planet. Oxygen, Carbon, Sun light, and water. Now if the government can put a regulation on one of those four things, they can pretty much control everything we do! Global warming is a Hoax. Its a new step towards a new world order. Al Gore is an imposter and a trader... More

I'm sorry, but Global Warming has nothing to do with humans. Unless you want to tell me that the Ice Age was started and ended because the cavemen emitted too much co2?

Who cares, the earth changes temperature all the time. If we should be worrying about anything it's the fact that the moon is drifting out of our gravitational pull. THAT would be catastrophic. The moon keeps the earth stable and without it we'd flip occasionally...

Better just wait. The earth is going through a cooling trend right now, in case you didn't get the memo.*

global warming happens every 125,000 years but we are currently speeding up its process, the only way to stop it is to turn off civilizaton

Environmental Tax is stupid... it exists to place penalties but in reality it's cheaper to pay a tax than to fix the problem (well, short term perspective). Just like ford released the Pinto, complete with rear end "collision"

The best way to stop global warming is to hire honest scientists to measure the temperature.

Man is not the cause of climate change, we are actually cooling right now. Since man is not the cause, he can not fix it. Climate change is a part of the natural process of this rock we call earth.

Nothing can be done. We can't stop the earth from spinning. Now if you're talking about man made global warming, the best way to stop it is to stop pretending it's real and move on with our lives.

There no longer is a way to stop it, we'd have had to start that back in the '70s when we were first warned about it. The question now is how to best cope with it and that requires that first of all we force our leadership to accept without question that it's happening. As long as the biggest wasters of energy and... More

Cap and trade is not a good idea. They should put money into funding alternative energy. We have a perfectly suitable alternative that doesn't emit any CO2 all we have to do is build more plants.
