Where Can A Teen Find Employment In Los Angeles, In This Bad Economy?!?

I am 17 years old and have literally applied to more than 15 places looking for employment in Los Angeles. I have only heard back from one place - JC Penny, and when I called back, they weren't hiring at that location anymore. This economy really hurts. I've applied online to places like wal mart, target, h & m, Subway, Hot Dog on a Stick, Best Buy, Jack in The Box, Toys R Us, Pavilions, Vons, and Rite Aid, all large corporations. Maybe there's some secret I don't know about, or a small chain that usually hires people my age. I have no experience, and I have a resume that nobody accepts anymore because applications are all online now, so things like my volunteer experience, and personal statement, things if people normally read would help to get me in the door, just fall by the waste side. If ANYONE has any knowlege I need something specific to land me some income. I'll literally be living on the streets if I can't find a job in the next few months. Thanks.
